"Old Movie" technique for "Hidden in
Plain Site: Lost City of the Dead in the Grand Canyon:
... shortened clip compressed from 720 x 480 dvd mpeg2 video file into a .wmv file for easy web viewing/downloading, showing how I can use modern color or b&w still images and create a video that looks like an old movie. I "yellowed" and "grayed" the clip adding jitter to cause the film to act as if it is being shown on an old projector, hairs, even film "age" damage vertical lines ... then with a combination of pan and zoom created simulated "old film". This combined with added narration and a sound file of an "old projector" completes the illusion. This can be a very effective technique when you need to create old film of a subject that doesn't exist ...
